Nyota Andromeda is the current elected commissioner of the Galactic Guardian Police and one of the youngest ever elected to that position. Prior to this, she was the head of the department's Destructicus Taskforce in charge of tracking down and shutting all of the notorious gangster's various operations. She first uncover a plot that the syndicate planned to brainwash the entire superhuman population of planet Allurea for their creating their own army of indestructible soldiers for their plans to conquer the galaxy. Knowing that Destructicus has plans to conquer a non-interference planet called Earth to plunder their natural resources, expand their enterprise, and to kidnap and enslave what they believed is one of Allurea's last remaining survivors, Andromeda went against protocol risking her own career by hand-selecting two of the department's rookie officers to rescue the Allurean survivors; one of them is a half-Earthling hybrid named Ginger Hale (later to be the department's special agent under the codename "Galaxy Guardian Ginger"). Now responsible for the safety of Ginger, who holds the key to the downfall of the Destructicus syndicate, Andromeda assigned Ginger and the two hand-picked officers, along with two other rookies and two Earth civilians without standard GGP Academy training, to form a task force assign to track down the syndicate's operations on Ginger's home solar system, and what are the criminal organization's plans with Earth in connection to their evil plans to enslave the galaxy.

Andormeda is a compassionate and kind person who is bound by honor and an overwhelming sense of justice. If necessary to bring down evil, she will disobey department protocol and ignore her superiors' orders to use every measure to help her team stopped Destructicus and his syndicate, who she believes are responsible for corruption of one-quarter of her officers. She acts like Ginger's mother figure aside from Ginger's actual mother on Earth. Andromeda, although she would only contact her though subspace communications and visits to the GGP's main headquarters, gives kind advise and emotional strength to Ginger in times of need. But she is also a bit strict wanting Ginger to obey her orders and mission objectives. Andromeda has a deep hatred for Destructicus and will never rest until the intergalactic uber-mobster spends the rest of his days behind bars. No known hobbies or favorite food as of writing.

Andromeda is a seasoned law enforcement official, specializing in counter-organized crime tactics and paramilitary operations. As the commissioner of the GGP, she commands and organizes a large army of police officers patrolling most of the galaxy protecting and serving her citizens. As with other female officers in the Intergalactic Patrol, her standard equipment included jet-firing boots, a belt-buckle switch which activates a aura-like shield surrounding her body to help her survive the vacuum of space and underwater depths, and a left-wrist gauntlet which is equipped with a force field generator which protects her from projectile attacks, a GPS-style space locator holographic map projector, a two-way beacon with radio link to IP headquarters for request to transport additional personal weapons and equipment, and a flip-top computer keyboard/monitor. She is armed with a IP-issue plasma blaster with optional stun setting for non-lethal takedowns. Andromeda commands her officers from her office at GGP main headquarters located on orbit on the Alpha Centauri Prime planet on the Alpha Centauri system.
