Description

Concept art of the XM-216 Avatar-7 bipedal battle unit from "Angel Arms"

The Mechanical Battle Avatars are an experimental bipedal weapons system which, although is made of the standard Earth materials, electronics, hydraulics, and mechanics, are based on a concept taken from decades for extensive research reverse engineering of alien technology which crash landed in 1947.

The Sakazaki Industries Avatar-7 project was not the first humanoid-type bipedal armored vehicles to be first introduced. BullittTech inc.'s C-901 "Spartan" mobile armors were first deployed in US and NATO covert operations since its' rollout in early 2009 after ten years field testing under the nose of skeptical journalists. The Spartans were first spotted by a un-embedded freelance cameraman/reporter during a botched counter-insurgency operation near the Afghanistan/Pakistan border. The footage, which made its' way to online internet video sites, has drawn angry criticism from anti-war activists, but was also praised by the military-industrial complex. Soon after, the Pentagon began top secret contract-bidding to Bullitt Defense and Japanese-based Sakazaki Industries to construct and mass produced Mechanical Battle Avatars exclusively for the US military.

As of X/X/20XX, Sakazaki Industries is currently developing the following Avatar-7 models for field testing and combat data analysis:

XM-216A1 Patriot - The basic infantry ground model used for anti-infantry and anti-armor attacks. It is fitted with the same armor used for the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank and is equipped with a handheld clip-fed machine cannon (loosely based on the M4A1 carbine rifle), flip-top combat knives, and optional weaponry like missile launchers and short-range beam rifles

XM-216A2 Longshot - Similar to the Patriot, except it is used for long range anti-armor sniper attacks. It is armed with a high-powered, semi-automatic clip fed recoilless rifle with armor-piercing rounds. A high-powered long range beam rifle was originally supposed to be the standard armament for the Longshot, but it is still currently on the development and testing phase

XM-216A3 Blitzkrieg - A less-armored but more agile version of the Patriot used for anti-armor close quarters fighting. Its' weapons include armor-slicing heat katanas (solar-powered long swords which blades can heat up to 800 degrees Fahrenheit) and concealed retractable high-explosive steel shiruken (throwing star) launchers embedded on both of its' wrist modules

XM-216A4 Sky Razor - A variation of the Patriot intended for high-speed air-to-air and air-to-land combat, Its' standard equipment includes a high-velocity jet engine pack with retractable swing-down wings integrated in its' back and wrist pod launchers that deploy Hellfire anti-tank missiles and Sparrow anti-air missiles. It is also armed with the Patriot's handheld machine cannon for close-quarter combat
