Vanessa Valliant is a high profile New York attorney and Victor Valliant’s (Elastic Avenger) wife and fellow crime fighting partner, Voltage Vixen. In her law school years, she was involved in an accident involving an alien peacekeeper fighting a gang of space terrorists which granted her superhuman powers and abilities. Her early crime fighting exploits attracted a up and coming crusader, Elastic Crusader. They then became partners and later married. Now the couple are living in a New Jersey neighborhood as next door neighbors and sometimes heated archrivals to the Robinson Family.

Vanessa is a loyal and devoted wife and crime fighting partner, but despite this she mostly concentrates most of her time and effort in her law practice. She is responsible for apprehending and putting away various criminals and super villains both on and off the courtroom. Though confident in her abilities, she always has a hard time maintaining and balancing her jobs on a daily basis. She also has a rabid jealous streak towards Telekinesis Woman, calling her a showoff and an inexperienced rookie, leading both heroines to bitterly argue with each other rather than helping their respective families when they are overwhelmed by an adversary of an obstacle. Her favorite hobbies include playing poker with her husband and neighbors and gardening. Her favorite food is beef stroganoff.

Voltage Vixen's main powers are the ability to conduct and generate electricity (shoots electric bursts and creating force shields). Other powers include super speed, flight (including through space), teleportation, super hearing, sixth sense and telepathy. Her sole weakness is exposure to water when using her powers. She has a degree in criminal justice and psychology. She is a black belt in karate. She transforms by spinning in super speed with electric flashes surrounding her.
