The Prologue

Note: This story is set a few weeks after Superhawke's appearance in New York City as well as Amanda Hawkings first term as a web designer in the International News Network (a.k.a. The I.N.N.)

Pages 1-3

Page One

INN Building: Day

Panels One to Five:

The Story begins with a Wide Shot of the INN Building, a stately looking sky scrapper with the Red and White INN logo placed on middle. We now enter the INN office to see INN reporter NICK WEST (A mid 20's Caucasian male. Nick is wearing a white long sleeved shirt with a black tie and tanned pants with black shoes ) sitting in his cubicle. Nick is his computer working on the article titled "Masked Vigilantes: The 21st Century's Unnatural Disasters. Focus a Middle shot on Nick's determined face as he diligently types on.

Focus on AMANDA HAWKINGS (Superhawke's Civilian identity and Nick West's Partner) as she walks down the hall and gently knocks on Nick's wall.

Note: Amanda's civilian form should be vastly different from Superhawke's Statuesque appearance as Amanda will have a slender body type, jet black hair, and wear black rimmed glasses. Amanda's business attire will a light tan brown jacket under a white blouse with a red ribbon tie on top. Amanda will also wear a darker tanned brown skirt with matching brown dress shoes.)

AMANDA: Hey Nick, me and Phoebe are about to head out for lunch in 10 minuets. How goes the article ?

NICK: Just a sec, I'm just finishing up now.

AMANDA: Cool, you mind if If I take a look ?

NICK: Well is a bit raw, Amanda.

AMANDA: Come on, I'm gonna have to upload it onto the New INN Website soon. What's the harm in a little peek?

NICK: All right, go ahead.

AMANDA: Sweet!

Amanda leans on Nicks Chair excitingly to see Nick's article. But Amanda's bright expression quickly drops as she reads the article's contents.

AMANDA: "Over the course of human history, mankind has endured its shares of natural disasters ranging from floods, earthquakes, and tornadoes. But all of these pale in comparison of the rise of Super-Powered Vigilantism?" A little grandiose, don't you think?

NICK: Just keep reading, Hemingway.

Page Two
Panels One To Six
AMANDA: "No greater example is made evident as the reckless vigilante Superhawke engaged the twisted mechanical creation of deranged inventor, Dr Cybertronic This destructive clash of the titans in downtown Manhattan caused $14.5 million in unnecessary property damage and left unbridled terror in their wake?"

Middle shot Amanda placing her hand on her chin sarcastically.

AMANDA: Hmph. That so bitter, that I think I need Alka Seltser.

Middle shot on Nick as she swivels his chair to face Amanda.

NICK: Hey, I call it like I see it. You can't deny that the since this "Superhawke" character showed up on the scene, New York is now a showcase for every super powered sicko looking to take her down.

AMANDA: But that's not Superhawke's fault. Remember that fire that Superhawke put out in the homeless shelter ?

NICK: The same fire that some costumed crazy made to call her out? I tell you Amanda, Superhawke no scratch that, all costumed vigilantes attract trouble than they avert.

Amanda put her hands on her hips in a defensive manner.

AMANDA: Well that's an unfair assumption to say that all super heroes are trouble magnets.

Middle Shot on Nick counting on his fingers

NICK: Really? What about that Pink Prima-Donna that's running Cornerstone City to the ground? What about those Robot-Armored Punks that tearing Oregon apart? Or better yet, what about that Shadow-Freak that's busting skulls in Hell's Kitchen ?

AMANDA: Now all you're saying that all superheroes are either vain glory seekers, walking W.M.D.'s or violent sociopaths?

NICK: If the shoe fits. Why are you in such a huff about this?

Amanda pauses for a second as she fears that she might let on the fact that she has a lot more in common with the super hero community than intended.

AMANDA: Well I just think that it's unfair that you're so prejudiced against people who are trying to help.

NICK: All right then Amanda, if these "superheroes" are so helpful, how come innocent people get hurt in their crossfire?

Tight shot on Amanda as she turns her head to the left in contemplation.

Page Three

Focus the camera on PHOEBE YUKI STOKES (A spirited caucasian girl of early 20's. Phoebe is wearing a white short sleeved Blouse under a Purple Vest with Matching Business Mini-Skirt and Flats.) running down the INN halls and skids to a complete stop to Amanda and Nick. Tight shot on Phoebe hunched over as she's catching her breath.

PHOEBE: Hey guys! Huff! Huff!

AMANDA: Whoa girl, slow down!

NICK: Yeah Pheob,where's the fire?

Phoebe suddenly then stand up like a war general delivering her next big order.

PHEOBE: Hey guys, The boss man has some big news! Come to the conference room pronto!

AMANDA: You heard the lady, our fearless leader calls.

Amanda and Phoebe leave the cubicle as Nick grabs his blue coat from the cubicle's side as it knocks over the picture of a Ten Year old Nick West ( In his little league Baseball uniform ) sitting on the shoulders of his father MALCOLM WEST (A mid 30's man with short black hair similar to the adult Nick's but with a goatee. Malcolm will also wears a Team Blue Jay's Coaching Uniform ) holding a first place trophy while wearing his father's blue jays hat. Tight shot on Nick's reflective face.

NICK (Thinking Caption): Trust me Amanda, these "heroes" are anything but helpful.

PHOEBE: Come on Nick, hurry up!

NICK: Coming!

Nick places the picture gently on the table as he heads his way to conference room
