Jodi Clarkson is the twin sister of American transfer student Josh Clarkson. And unbeknownst to her brother, Jodi is also an esper. The twins moved from their former home of Oklahoma City to Kyoto, Japan where they attended Sakura West High School where Josh was forced into the "Alien Encounters Club" under the forceful eye of club president Miliko Tsumara. When Jodi's cousin, an agent of INTERCEPT's Tokyo Branch, found out some serious suspicious activities involving Miliko's double life as a pilot for the alien defense unit the Starchasers, she insisted Jodi, who is secretly training as a rookie agent, to join her brother in the club. Jodi join the club later in the freshman year and was assigned serving tea and refreshments to her follow members. When Jodi found out Miliko's cover, she insisted to her that she could be a valuable member of the Starchasers alongside Josh, who was also forced into joining the unit by Miliko's will. The reluctant blue-haired girl agreed, and now Jodi does double duty helping with the club and their extracurricular activities defending Earth from various threats, as well as keeping an eye out for her brother and preventing him from getting into trouble.

Jodi is a kind and polite person; she serves as the club's morale booster by cheering them up when they are tired from the usual club schedule. She often has good table manners and work etiquette, and she prides herself when she serves refreshments to her fellow club members. Despite her calm and courteous nature, she is constantly overprotective on her twin brother, trying to give him out of perilous situations time and again, although Miliko insisted that he is in good hands. She sees being in the club and in the Starchasers as an opportunity to fulfill her dreams as an INTERCEPT agent and fellow in the footsteps her cousin, who she looks to as a role model. Although she is only there in a support basis, Jodi feels she is a part of the club and will commit herself to help Miliko achieve her ambitions and goals. Her favorite hobbies are internet surfing and playing Solitaire on her brother's laptop. Her favorite food is steam-prepared vegetables.

Jodi, unlike her brother Josh, is a genetically-born esper gifted with pshycic powers and abilities including mind reading, telepathy, telekinesis/psysychokinesis and sixth sense. Despite wearing glasses, she has perfect 20/20 vision, though she wanted to keep it a secret from her brother. She is a talented and well-trained athlete and swimmer who regular maintains her body with constant exercise and diet. She is well-trained in martial arts and has extensive training in hi-tech weapons. She is mainly equipped with standard Starchaser equipment including a watch does project holographic images and emits a beam shield which repels projectile weapons and light explosives, and a star-shaped belt activator that gives her stealth capabilities and invisibility. Her powered pilot suit gives her superhuman combat abilities including spinning teleportation, the ability to emit magnetic beams from her hands (although in limited use due to her suit's power supply) and to generate several hi-tech weapons including her phased plasma pistol with optional stun settings, a long steel-bladed sword for melee combat and a proton missile launcher. She commands the navigations from the Starchasers' Mark-XII hover tank where her brother mans the gunners' turret. She is extensively trained in home economics and social studies.
