Color improved 2.0 rendition of Dust Derringer from "Dust Derringer"

ORIGINAL INITIAL DESIGN

The alien bounty hunter known on Earth as Dust Derringer was once Lucias Camelopardalis, Galaixa Sky's half-brother and disgraced former Celestial Knight. While leading his team on a recon mission in the outer rim of the galaxy, they were ambushed by the force of alien Necronties, which lead to the slaughter of most of his team. He was tried by the Elder's council and he was discharged and stripped from the Knights for his reckless irresponsibility of his unit. While his father, Sir Auroron Sky, the head of the elder's council, he suggested that Lucias be initiated with "The Trail of Red Dust", a form of excommunication where dishonored members of the Celestial Knights have a red cross branded on their chest, their memory wiped, and sent to a seemingly uninhabited desert planet never to be seen again. After meeting and being trained with a group of bounty hunters and mercenaries stationed on the planet, including his future fiancée Tella Raiden, he then roamed as a professional soldier of fortune, fighting in interplanetary wars just to put food on the table. He and Tella patrol the universe looking for clients that would hire him to fight in proxy wars for money, until one day (Earth year 1947) their ship got involved in a naval battle with a terrorist warship orbiting above the Earth Solar System. In a struggle, both ships collide and crash landed in Roswell, New Mexico where Tella died in Derringer's arms as a result from fatal battle wounds. The U.S. Military arrived and the scene, then years later Derringer was sent to Area 51 and was subjected to experimentation and torture by military scientists. He soon escaped from the top secret facility and later assumed the name Dust Derringer from a fictional character from an old Western movie he saw at the local movie theater. He later disguise himself and joined the Army and participated in the Korean War, and later served four tours of duty in Vietnam, involved in Special Forces covert action in Latin America in the early 1980's, and served in the 1991 Persian Gulf War, where the military MP's finally caught up with and captured him.

During his incarnation at a local military installation, Derringer went up to his supervising commander's barracks to sort out this predicament when he found the commander lay dead by gunshot wounds, and Derringer was then knocked unconscious by an unknown assailant. Derringer woke up hours later only to have his hands on the gun that killed the commander, which the real killer planted on Derringer hand while he's out cold. Military investigators caught Derringer and attempted to arrest him for the commander's murder, in which he was framed for. After a brutal hand-to-hand battle, Derringer escaped the base. Having nowhere to turn, and to this day pursued by an Army task force led by Pentagon criminal investigator Colonel Lucas McGovern, Derringer now roams the Earth as a mercenary/bounty hunter, apprehending wanted criminals and doing black ops missions for food and travel money in order to survive, while hoping someday he would catch the real perpetrator of the crime was he framed for and clear his name.

Derringer is a quiet, professional and serious man. He is somewhat also grim and stoic. He never smiles and focuses on jobs that have noble intentions (he will never accept assassination missions). If have to, he can do heroic things like saving lived and helping people, but only if the need is there. Despite being a semi-pacifist, he only kills in combat and in self defense, which unfortunately come in handy due to his bad luck getting involved in violent shootouts with criminals and mobsters. He possess a strong sense of justice, believing in a fair system that is not corruptible and trust in the law to handle the fates of the bounty heads he capture, even if some nations' dealing with criminals is somewhat unjustified. Derringer only lives and fights to survive, without any emotional attachments of an outlook to his future. He is a soldier, a soldier who must keep fighting to mainly exist. No known hobbies or favorite food.

Despite him looking like he is in his 20's, Derringer is actually over 100 years old, due to his DNA cells and alien physiology that slows down his aging rate. As a seasoned combat veteran of both intergalactic conflicts and all of Earth's major wars since 1947, Derringer is a foremost expert in weapons, explosives, tactics and hand-to-hand combat. He has adapted Earth's martial arts fighting techniques and weapons systems through the years he is on Earth. He is a trained and experienced survivalist. He also is a master in man hunting skills and tracking, although he also relies on modern technology and criminal forensics to aid him when tracking his targets. He is a brilliant tactician and a skilled marksman. His preferred overall weapons are two Colt Python .357 magnum revolvers, two Glock 22 pistols and a backup Sig-Sauer P228 9mm semi-automatic. He also has a portable arsenal of handguns, shotguns, sniper rifles, dozens of flashbang and smoke grenades, and non-lethal and lethal ammunition and ordnance. His left arm is made out of an indestructible alien material that can protect him from bladed weapons and knife attacks and can convert into powerful plasma cannon for heavy artillery purposes and as a last resort weapon. His arm can be upgrade into include additional weapons and gadgets like a retractable dagger launcher, shield, grappling claw, grappling hook launcher, mini saw, a spiked metal punching gauntlet, and a protective armor that can be used for space and sea mission for a limited time. He has several hidden underground warehouses across several global locations which houses an arsenal of weapons, equipment, broadband satellite-access computer and surveillance gear and crime labs, maintained by worker robots who he salvaged from the Roswell crash. He has several untraceable bank accounts under false identities, passports, and access to several contacts, human and alien, for info and leads.
