Unlike the real world, where private schools are owned solely by religious organizations, most private schools in the AGU are owned by multinational corporations due to the lack to quality public schools delivered. These schools are also integrated to the public school system in terms of sporting competitions and academic events such as spelling bees. Basic on the conduct and operations of Japanese schools, students are required to wear uniforms patterned after Japanese uniforms. The corporations that owns the schools expect their students receive the best education and discipline available and to expect them excel further than they would under a regular school.

Anne’s school is Evergreen Private High School in Seattle, Washington; owned and operated by a Japanese-led multinational pharmaceutical company, which has something to do with Anne’s past and her geneticist uncle, who works for the company.

NOTE: Anne’s school uniform is standard amongst all female students in Evergreen High, including her friends and classmates Susan Madsen, Lucy Andersen and Natayla Corman.
